Your support will go to subsidize our mortgage, installation of our water well diesel pump that will run on

waste vegetable oil, subsidize our mobile homes at the farm, and help with costs to put our organic farm

into production.

Community Based Agricultural Incubation:

From August of 2006 till August 2007, the South Central Farmers Cooperative, (an economic incubation sponsored by SCFHEF) was farming in Fresno. Over 30 tons of organically grown produce was brought back

into the communities of South Central, Hollywood, and Atwater. They have relocated and are currently

leasing land in Bakersfield to continue this very successful project that involves families from the community.

Tianguis -- Bringing Food to the Hood Campaign:

Tianguis comes from the Meso-American concept of community moving market (similar to how they have

been done for thousands of years). We have been offering a community space for children, local community artists, artisans, and offering access to healthy, high nutrition produce not available in the communities of

South Central Los Angeles. This project links the goals of the SCFHEF and the economic incubator (SCFC) to offer access/education to healthy food and fight the battle against diabetes, cardio-vascular diseases, and obesity.
